The line "I miss her sweet smell, I miss it everyday" always made me think of my dog. Being schizophrenic she was my trauma sponge and when she died it felt like a part of me was ripped out. I miss her everyday, she wanted nothing more than for me to be happy.

I'm a long time metal fan. This is really an anthem. I was homeless for about 2 years during the pandemic. It was rough. I worked. I didn't panhandle but I had friends that did. I'm doing so much better now. God has His ways of showing you how meaningless and important you are at the same time so you grow. Trust in Jesus. And... this is absolutely my favorite Metal Church song. Wow. I'll see you soon, Mike Howe. Not just yet, though. God bless.

I heard this song on the radio 11 years ago, managed to find this video. Forgot the song. Rediscovered this song elsewhere years ago, and only now just revisiting this video, suspecting it may actually be the song I heard that day. As soon as the blue flames and writing appeared it was like a rubber band finally releasing, it all snapped together.
